Important Information
On-Campus Parking
If you plan to park at UMass Boston, be sure to allow yourself time to find a space and walk to your destination on the campus. Remember that traffic may be very heavy, and space may be limited, especially at the beginning of the semester.
Please note that in fall 2007 a major storm drain renovation project will begin on Morrissey Boulevard near the campus. This may cause traffic delays. Please check this website for updates on the project.
The university maintains several parking lots near the campus, offering a total of roughly 2,500 spaces. For locations, please see the map in this brochure. The lots are:
- Healey Lot (in front of Healey Library).
- Short-term Lot (in front of McCormack Hall). One hour maximum for reduced rate.
- South Lot (Wheatley Lot). Students only.

- North Lot (Campus Center Lot).

- Beacons Lot (between the Science Center and the track).

- Clark Lot (near the Clark Athletic Center). Passes only.

- University Lot A (on the bluff near the Massachusetts Archives).
- University Lot B (across from the softball field).
- University Lot C (across from the softball field).
- University Lot D (behind Lot B at the end of Mt. Vernon St.).
Parking spaces designed for motorcycles are available in University Lot B at one half the normal daily cash rate. Motorcycles may be parked in other lots for the full rate.
If on-campus lots are filled to capacity, you may be directed to parking at the Bayside Expo Center on Mt. Vernon Street. The Expo Center is within easy walking distance of the JFK/UMass MBTA station, where you can catch the free university shuttle bus to the campus.
